Would any of you wonderful
I've been drawing all of my life, but, I've only started actively drawing decently around eight or nine years ago. Wow, has it really been that long? It feels like it's been a lot longer. I started drawing artwork in middle school. All of it was anime styled and I spent a lot of time on it (at school, I was bored). It wasn't until years later, in my third and fourth year of high school, did I attempt any other type of artwork. My teachers gave me assignments and I was forced to try realistic art (there was a no anime rule). This actually turned out really well (I think drawing the anime helped to improve my skills, because I wasn't able to draw realistically before that) and I amazed myself at what popped out. My teachers were impressed, too, even if they were annoyed that I only drew oriental people (revenge). Note: I'm going to take a moment to tell you I haven't drawn much of anything after losing a large portion of my artwork in a fire a few years ago. I don't think I ever "recovered" enough to get up the motivation to take it up again (for my own pleasure). Now I'm stuck in a rut of sorts. Every time I pick up a pencil and try to draw something, I become frustrated with myself since I'm rusty. That leads me back to zapping the desire to sketch from me once more.
